A: 7:45am - 2:30pm Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday. Wednesday is
Early Release Day and the hours are 7:45am - 1:15pm. For holidays, non-school

A: We have Kindergarten through Fifth grade.

Q: Is The Studio School a charter school?

A: No, The Studio School is a magnet school which means we offer a different
approach to teaching and learning than a neighborhood school. Parents must
apply for their student, and students are chosen by lottery from five geographical
regions within the school district.

A: We have two classes per grade level. Classes average 25 students.

Q: Will the school district provide transportation to the school?

A: No, because we are a magnet school which enrolls students from all over the

A: We focus on integrating the arts with academics.

Q: Do students have P.E. class?

A: No, we do not have a P.E. teacher. Students are taught movement, body
control, and dance in Performing Arts.

Q: What kind of curriculum do you use?

A: We use the district curriculae in reading, math, and science as a resource to guide and inform our teaching of big ideas. We also adhere to Colorado
state standards.

Q: What kinds of arts will be taught?

A: Students have scheduled classes in the visual arts, ceramics, music, and performing
arts. Within the regular classroom, they may be exposed to and learn drama,
storytelling, recorder, tableaux, visual thinking strategies, puppetry,
knitting, fabric arts, and other visual art forms.
